Semcasting, Inc. was founded in 2009 after management purchased the assets of Genalytics, which delivered the first commercial application of genetic algorithms to automate the statistical modeling process. This patented technology is currently used in over 1,000 campaigns a year with advertisers and agencies in the financial, retail, travel, political and non-profit campaigns a year.
In order to improve the accuracy and predictive power of the data used in models and campaigns we created the Affluence Indicator Suite. Data variables such as Premium Income, Discretionary Income, Recession Sensitivity, and ITA Credit are now licensed by many Fortune 500 marketing organizations.
In 2009 Semcasting was able to expand the data and introduce a comprehensive compiled database with 227 million individuals, 126 million households and over 750 individual enhancement variables. The data file covers household composition, financial products, home and auto, political voting and contributions history, social network participation, and hundreds of consumer propensities.
With clients moving online and to social marketing, in 2010 Semcasting introduced an entirely new methodology for targeting display and social advertising called Semcasting Audience Targeting.
